Before joining CIMA, Lexi spent five years as an elementary school teacher, most recently at a leadership academy rooted in Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Managing and guiding classrooms of 15–20 students strengthened her skills in organization, multitasking, structure, and communication—abilities that translate seamlessly into her work as a paraplanner.
Originally from the mountains of Virginia, Lexi relocated to Raleigh after graduating from Liberty University. Outside of the office, she enjoys yoga, pickleball, puzzles, reading, dancing, and traveling with her husband.
Lexi brings a strong work ethic, a sharp analytical mindset, and a heart for excellence to everything she does. She is a fast learner, a collaborative team player, and a genuine reflection of CIMA’s core values. In addition to joining the firm professionally, Lexi is proud to be part of the CIMA family—she is married to founder Alex Maldonado.
