Alex Maldonado is the Founder of CIMA Financial, and our dedicated Financial Planner with over a decade of experience in the financial services industry. In 2025, Alex earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation, further strengthening his ability to serve business owners and families with thoughtful, strategic guidance.
Born in New York City to Salvadoran parents, Alex’s passion for finance and service took shape while earning his degree in Finance from East Carolina University. It was there that he discovered his calling: helping others achieve financial security, clarity, and long‑term freedom.
Alex has always been driven by impact over comfort. In 2021, he took a leap of faith and left a secure position to launch CIMA Financial, guided by a clear mission: to serve and uplift the underserved Hispanic community through honest, empowering, and values‑driven financial planning.
Outside of the office, Alex is a lifelong drummer, avid traveler, and nature enthusiast who enjoys hiking and spending quality time with loved ones. He is deeply committed to personal growth and actively surrounds himself with men striving to become world‑class fathers, husbands, and leaders.
Alex credits his success to his faith, believing that none of it would be possible without the guidance of his Creator. A lifelong learner, he continually pursues new certifications and industry knowledge to better serve his clients and lead with integrity.
